Welcome to San Francisco! The best way to get to the city’s signature sight is by bike. Somehow the first thing that crossed my mind was how I used to cycle to high school every morning for years. Then of course, something else caught my attention: The Golden Gate Bridge! It’s funny how an architectural creation can look so different from every angle. That’s why we had to stop every few meters to have our photo taken. I assume that’s normal?!
Unsurprisingly, the Northern part of the city has been very foggy (whereas Downtown was perfectly sunny all day) but that made the scenery that bit more interesting. And windy. Finally cycling over the bridge was another highlight, but what I’ll never forget is how we came across Marshall’s Beach without expecting any more land. And suddenly there was this huge beach trail opening up and it had the best ever view over the bridge and no one was there. Well, that is apart from a naked man who was running up and down the beach all afternoon. Welcome to San Francisco.
