New York has a hundred names and even more faces, but to me, it’s the City of Dreams. It’s the place that’s big enough for everyone to find something they love and although living there is challenging and exhausting, walking through the streets of Brooklyn, encountering all the artists and dreamers, makes you believe everything’s possible. So NYC was the first stop of my trip through North America and the first day was already packed with exploring different areas. There’s Brooklyn Bridge, followed by Brooklyn Heights with a stunning view on Lower Manhattan, there’s Washington Square Park that never seems to calm down with its numerous groups of street artists or athletes dancing in the bright sunlight. There’s buzzing Chinatown, the financial district that lost part of its glamour since I’ve last visited the city and The Smile, a cute local cafe in the East Village and of course, a gig right on the streets of Lower Manhattan, just in time for sunset. What else would you expect!?
On another note, I so underestimated the whole blogging from the road project! It’s harder than I thought to find a decent internet connection, spare time without saying no to amazing things and the energy to find some words at once. But I’m working on it so that you can get your daily dose of Americana as quickly as possible! In the mean time, make sure you follow me on Instagram.
