My phone tells stories: Countryside, last cupcakes and Christmas celebrations

For me, one of the most tempting dangers of living in the 21st century is the constant risk of getting too caught up in too many amazing things at the same time and then losing the ability to stop for a second to realise just how fabulous the little details of our daily lives are. I’m not sure if that makes sense now but Instagram does certainly sort this mess in my head out a little bit.

Here’s to the past weeks that have been filled with inspirational lunch break walks in Windsor, visits to the Barbican, the National Portrait Gallery and the Museum of London as well as various Brick Lane classics with old friends, a pre-Christmas lunch with my favourite people in China Town, some cosy Christmas delicacies back in Germany, a beautiful day trip to Brighton (of which you will see some more evidence in the near future)…

Oh! And the Primrose Hill Bakery cupcake below was my last for 2012, I decided to skip these beloved colorful beauties for a year as my consumption reached a rather worrying level. See you in 2014, sugary bakeries of London…

Thank you! Yes it certainly was very comforting and… too short! That’s a good thing though, otherwise we probably wouldn’t appreciate these breaks as much. My phone is broken at the moment, so I’m on a huge Instagram withdrawal which is terrible, especially because your feed is so much fun too! 😦
