As April has now officially been given the rather dubious award of the wettest month for 100 years and as I still refused to keep my camera in the shelf until this period is over, I decided to go for a few contrasty black and white shots.
I had my lovely German friend coming over and together we explored the version of London that is absolutely stereotype and clichéd: Non-stopping rain teamed up with kilometres of grey skies. Never mind, sudden heavy showers out of the blue (or grey, in this case) did evoke a lot of laughter because we were already soaked to the skin, but hey, English pubs are pretty cosy when it’s a bit rubbish outside.
Although the red balloons kind of interrupt my depressing April version of London, I still couldn’t leave them out – don’t they symbolize that there will be a hot, legendary, never-ending summer coming? Maybe? Please?
