If your dreams don’t scare you, they’re not big enough.

Welcome to another series of It’s All Happening gig photos. So here we go for another wild mix of either noisy and dark pictures or for a rather unconventional approach on flash photography. It’s an essential skill but not my favorite way of capturing life. There’s always a artificial something created that doesn’t exist and makes it appear less authentic. Still, as you and I want to see what’s actually going on and who’s playing, I decided to give it a go. My new external flash turned out to be quite flexible and interesting to work with.

Bad Wolf were my favorite, they just had that little something, that ability to grab your attention within a few chords. The urgent desire to drown in their unique style that’s probably somewhere between rock and punk. They’re playing a gig at the Purple Turtle in Camden on Friday, 13 April and at the O2 Academy in Islington on Sunday, 13 May. Go if you can and get the good kind of lost!

But London wouldn’t be London if there wasn’t something else to do afterwards. With my camera still waiting to perform, we went for the Koko in Camden and were surprised by a rather funky band around Clement Marfo who constantly shouted I can’t remember what I did last night, but tonight I’ll do it again, which somehow stayed in my mind – and the crowd went completely mad. Also, the good mad. But what else would you expect from the Koko?! Thrilling, I loved it.

I wish you a great Easter and hope you can spend plenty of time with your loved ones! x
